Although being considered a gentle oil in every respect, its terpene alcohols make it a powerful antibacterial, antiviral, antifungal oil. Makes for an excellent massage oil; relieve tiredness, nervousness, stress; anti-bacterial, anti-infectious (tap neat on pimples, sores); deodorizing; for rough, chapped hands; for the treatment of stretch marks during and after pregnancy. As an inhalant for depression, debility, overwork, and the mucus glands.
Use in the diffuser for mental and emotional balance (important before exams). Helps to relax when one is under tension.
When used in cosmetics, the smoothing, balancing and cell-regenerating properties of rosewood oil are especially helpful when treating sensitive, dry and brittle skin (flaking, scarring, itchiness, inflammation); strengthens connective tissue.
