Citiing Susanne Fischer-Rizzi, Rosemary stimulates the central nervous system, strengthening mental clarity and awareness. The oil may be mixed with other essential oils that stimulate the mind – lemongrass, verbena, lemon, grapefruit, hyssop. In ancient times healers recognized the obvious memory-enhancing quality of this oil. Students in ancient Greece and Rome wore rosemary wreaths on their heads when in their studies. Rosemary also aids concentration and centring and is often used in meditation.

How to use

Neat for certain applications; mixed with a base oil for skin applications/massage; with steam & dry inhalation; in hot or cold compresses; in shower gels & shampoos; in a diffuser.

For low blood pressure (add rosemary, lemongrass and grapefruit to a carrier oil or shower gel).
