How to use
Mixed with a base oil for skin applications/massage; with steam & dry inhalation; in hot or cold compresses; in shower gels & shampoos; in a diffuser.
For
In a carrier oil, it is used as a skin oil for blotchy skin, boils, oily skin, warts (apply in the morning and evening, cover with a plaster), callous skin (treat the affected areas a few times daily), insect bites (apply neat and directly), to neutralizes body odour, muscle tonic.
Put 2-3 drops in water as a mouth rinse/gargle for the treatment of colds, mouth and throat infections, inflamed gums, and mouth ulcers.
Use as a cold compress for fever; and for varicose veins (combine with cypress). As a sponge bath for itchy eczema, or childhood illnesses accompanied by itching skin, like measles.
Use in the diffuser for an air-purifying effect (cigarette smoke and fish), improves concentration (blend with hyssop), stimulates communication; highly antibacterial, destroys airborne germs (meningococcus, streptococcus, typhus germs) – ideal for any sick room (hospitals, clinics), also because it is psychologically strengthening for patients who are depressed or fearful.
